You're welcome guys & thanks for the good advice on top of what I wrote.

One thing that y'all missed when you say "building relationships & trust is good advice for any social site". This is true with your email list, too.

I wish you all success ... Keep listening to Robert - he knows his affiliate shtuff.

Hello DiTesco,

As always, I'm delighted to see you again and read your comments.

With regard to your methods of interacting on Twitter, I don't think there is any question at all. You basically tell people up front what to expect and they make the choice to follow. If more people followed your plan of action, they too would most probably see better results and ultimately make some money. I think you already know how I feel about building relationships and trust.

Keep on "Tweeting"

Ahhhh. The controversial "make money with twitter":) First great tips Harris, and second, good job Robert on getting quality writers like this guy, lol.

Moving on. Maybe this is not the right way, but I have been somewhat successful by having more than one Twitter account. One is reserved for interacting, socializing, and you know, all the good Tweetiquette. Occasionally I will lead some of my followers to an affiliate site, and that's about it.

The other account I have are for Tweeting deals. They are not spam as they are in fact good deals (I make sure of that). The thing is that all my followers know that, because it is written in my bio and it is all I tweet about and so they follow me because they want to, right? That is one of the ways I found to capitalize on Twitter. I am sure there are other methods, but as mentioned here over and over, the best practice is to build credibility and trust. After that, everything else seems like selling hotcakes. Take me as an example, I will most likely click to any Tweet that Guy Kawasaki sends out, regardless ;-)

Hello Vic,

The people that you mention will have very little or no success at all. In addition to that, they will also lose their followers. People don't want to see a constant barrage of promo links. We get enough of that in our email ;-)

Thanks for your visit here and your comment.

Hi Harris and Robert,

Thank you for sharing this nice tips. It's true we must use use twitter the right way. With this, we can have the proper benefits that Twitter gives us. I can see tweeters who do not really socialize by seeing their tweets full of promotional links. Why can't they interact with personal touch - even just to tweet a simple hello and good night.

Hello Luis,

Great to see you again.

I can't disagree with you on that point. Whether it's Twitter or any other social network, the road to success is built by developing relationships and trust.

To your continued success!

Hi Robert,

Those are great tips. I personally think the second, building relationships with your followers are the key to succeed not just alone at Twitter but in any social site.

Reel Advice, you are absolutely right. You must first build relationships with your followers and gain their trust. If you don't do those things you will start losing followers and you'll never make any money.

Thanks for coming by and leaving your comment.

The fourth one is a very sensitive topic and I believe without the trust of your followers, putting promotions is a big risk in getting a lot of them to unfollow you ASAP!
