CPA, is defined by Wikipedia as: “Cost Per Action or CPA (sometimes known as Pay Per Action or PPA) is an online advertising pricing model, where the advertiser pays for each specified action (a purchase, a form submission, and so on) linked to the advertisement.”

A simple action might consist of a visitor just entering their email address whereas the more complex action would require entering much more information with many fields to fill in. In most cases, these advertisers will pay anywhere from $0.25 to $4.00 for a simple email submission. The more complex forms pay much more and it can range from $5.00 to $40.00 and higher. The more complex forms generally come from credit card or insurance companies.

Most online marketers are convinced that affiliate marketing is an excellent way to earn money to either supplement their wages or make it their primary source of income. Unfortunately, there are very few (less than 5%) affiliates who actually earn a significant amount of money. One of the biggest reasons why so many people fail is the fact that they give up to soon.
